Why do you think the rich get richer and the poor get poorer?
Sure, there are a lot of different reasons. Attitude differences, contacts, opportunities, resources, knowledge.
But the most important one I believe is a thing called “momentum”.
Things continue to go in the same direction they’re going, unless something dramatic happens to stop them.
Momentum. To get it working FOR you, you have to take massive action.
Two business owners in the same niche, with virtually identical talents, skill, intelligence, training, leads, opportunities, and resources.
Each one gets 50 new customers. The difference is that the one guy gets 50 new customers in 50 days. The other guy takes 50 weeks to do that.
Five years later, which one will be more successful and why?
The guy who took 50 weeks to get 50 customers will have spent his whole year taking one step forward and one step backward. His pace was too slow to stimulate enthusiasm, to stimulate referrals, to create any momentum. Worse, attrition kept nailing him as he went along. So he didn’t even wind up with 50 customers.
But the guy who got 50 customers in 50 days, he established a positive momentum that would continue to attract and accumulate additional customers and gain speed.
The lesson of the tortoise and the hare fable has done a lot of damage to a lot of business owners. Slow and steady does NOT win the race. It takes massive ACTION at a rapid pace to create positive momentum.
